Essential Oils

What are essential oils?

An essential oil is referred to as the “life blood” of the plant. It is an aromatic, volatile liquid within plant parts such as branches, fruits, shrubs, bark, needles, flowers, roots, bushes and seeds.  When carefully and properly extracted through low pressure, low temperature steam distillation or by cold expression, essential oils contain from 80- 300 chemical constituents and are 100-10,000 times more concentrated and far more potent than the herb form. Young Living Essential Oils is the world leader in essential oils at this time and is producing pure, therapeutic grade essential oils that are safe and effective for aromatic, topical and internal use.

how to use essential oils

*Read label on bottle to determine the uses for specific oils and if they need to be diluted with a carrier oil or can be used “neat” or undiluted.

Topically

  • Massage a  few drops of essential oil and a carrier oil of choice {olive oil, coconut oil, grape seed oil, V6 vegetable oil} onto preferred parts of the body.

  • Roll onto desired area with rollerball (you receive a rollerball in the Premium Starter Kit)

  • Applying oils to the bottom of the feet is a wonderful way to use the oils, especially for kids, because the skin is less sensitive, the biggest pores are located here allowing the oils get into the system faster, and a complete network of Vita-Flex points (reflexology points) stimulate all the internal body systems.

Aromatically

  • Inhale directly (straight from the bottle)

  • Diffuse them {add water to line, then a few drops of your favorite oil}

  • Add a few drops of oil into a bowl of hot water, cover your head and bowl with a towel and

       breathe deeply

Internally

  • Add a drop to a glass of water or rice milk

  • Put several drops of essential oil into an empty vegetable capsule and swallow with water

Therapeutic-grade Young Living essential oils are safe, effective, easy to use and can have a profound effect on our health and well-being.
